Growth Policy

The nine member Lincoln County Planning Board was appointed by the County Commissioners in March 2006. The Board meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month for a public Board Meeting.

The Board, working directly with the Planning Department, has the responsibility of administering and updating the Lincoln County Growth Policy, Subdivision Regulations and other County regulations, policies and ordinances as directed by the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

Additionally, the Lincoln County Planning Board reviews and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on all major subdivision applications.

Thompson Chain of Lakes Neighborhood Plan

After more than 3 years of work, the Chain of Lakes Homeowners Association in cooperation with Plum Creek Timber Co. presented their proposed neighborhood plan to the Planning Board on March 16, 2010. The Board unanimously recommended adoption of the plan by the Board of County Commissioners and on April 7, 2010, the Commissioners adopted the plan.
